Descriptive Paper
SSC had introduced a small pattern change in the CGL Examination, be introducing a Descriptive paper. This paper is only for those who have passed the SSC Tier 2 examination. In the CGL Tier-1 Exam, this is a high-scoring and time-saving section. This section contains 50 questions and has a maximum time limit of 20 minutes. - Static GK Comprises of Questions from Polity, Indian History& Culture, Geography and Economy.
- Questions from Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Section are asked in the Science Section.
- The Crap Questions include questions about current events, general knowledge, books and authors, people and places in the news, abbreviations, and so on.
Eligibility for SSC Exams
- Graduate Level Examination- This examination requires a graduation or equivalent in any other discipline. Matriculation is required to take the Combined Matric Level Examination.
- Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination- This examination requires a 12th grade or equivalent in any other discipline.

- SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination is organized every year for the appointment of assistant post in various department, inspector of income tax/ central excise/ preventive officer/ examiner/ Post/ narcotics, CBI SI, Divisional accountant, statistical Investigator Grade II.

Age limit
The age range for general candidates is 18 to 28 years, and reserved candidates will be shortlisted based on age relaxation as per government rules.

12th passed out candidates can join Clerk Exam with minimum 60% with computer diploma. And reserved category will have relaxation in marks – 55% for OBC and near at 50% for SC/ST category.
